About Sam
Sam McSorley (MHealSc, PGHlthSci, DipClinHerbMed, BHSc (Complementary Medicine)) is a naturopath and herbalist with 22 years of experience. She is a member of NZ Association of Medical Herbalist (NZAMH), Naturopaths and Medical Herbalist NZ (NMHNZ) and NZ Association of Psychotherapy (NZAP).
Sam is the founder of Sam McSorley Connecting Wellness, a holistic clinic that concentrates on the importance of a healthy mind and body. Sam is an experienced clinician with a deep passion for women’s health. She sees the world through a compassionate, mindful, and curious lens. Currently studying Hakomi, a body-centered somatic psychotherapy, Sam believes that our bodies reflect our inner reality. Everything from posture to voice can mirror our emotions, beliefs, and deeper experiences.
Sam holds a Master’s in Health Science, PGHlthSci, BHSc (Complementary Medicine), and DipClinHerbMed. Educating and empowering individuals to move forward for better physical and mental health is her passion. Underpinned by scientific research Sam’s combined approach using lifestyle, diet, herbal & nutritional medicine, stress management, somatic psychotherapy are some of the tools employed to advance your care. Her expertise includes autism, ADHD, Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, and menopause, with a special focus on mental health. She uses breathwork and somatic mindfulness to dive into the root causes of emotional and mental conflict that affect health.
